Think of it as passing a note to the whole defense at once. Pitch calls and short messages travel from your iPhone to the team. Players read the call and play; they don’t type or talk back through their watches.
One shared team passphrase helps keep your calls private. Each watch uses that same passphrase so it can read your team’s calls.
This describes pitch calls and messages. Watches can also report device information, such as battery status, to help you manage the equipment.

Does every player need an iPhone?
No. The coach uses an iPhone and players use compatible watches. Keep one watch near the coach’s phone to pass calls to the field.
Do I need Wi-Fi at the field?
The pitch call travels locally from the phone through the nearby watch to the team’s watches. It does not need the field’s Wi-Fi or a cellular data plan for each watch. Internet access is used for app purchases, subscription checks when needed, and downloading updates.
What do players see?
The selected pitch, a highlighted location, and the situation you send. You can also send a short team message or a saved quick tag from the app.
Can I use it at my games?
Check your league or tournament’s rules for electronic communication and who may wear a receiver. Give the setup a practice run around your own field before game day.
How far do calls reach?
Coverage depends on your field and conditions. Keep the relay watch near the iPhone and try calls from the positions where your players will stand before you rely on it in a game.
