GETTING STARTED

From the box
to the bullpen.

You don’t need to be a developer to get your team started. Choose the right watches, follow the setup guide, and give everyone a chance to try it at practice.

Gather a few things: an iPhone for the coach, compatible watches, a USB data cable, and a computer with Chrome or Edge for the first setup. Plan for one watch near the coach and one for each player who needs to receive calls.

Explore the app and its availability before buying hardware. Internet access is needed for the initial downloads and app purchase.

  1. Choose your watches.

Use the compatible watch guide to find the LILYGO T-Watch S3 2.4G version. Both supported colors work together.

  2. Add Pitchcall to each watch.

On your computer, open the installer in Chrome or Edge. Turn on the watch, plug it in with a USB data cable, and follow the on-screen steps. Keep it connected until installation finishes.

  3. Give your team one private passphrase.

Use the same passphrase on every watch and in the iPhone app under Settings → Connections & Devices → Watch Security. Choose a phrase that isn’t easy to guess and keep it within your team.

Our installer can remember the phrase in your browser while you set up more watches. Clear the saved phrase when you finish on a shared computer.

  4. Choose the watch that stays with you.

On just one watch, open Settings and change RELAY OFF to RELAY ON. “Relay” simply means this watch passes your call to the field. Keep it near your iPhone. Leave Relay off on the players’ watches.

  5. Send a practice call.

Allow Bluetooth access in the iPhone app and open Settings so Pitchcall can find your nearby relay watch. You can check its connection under Connections & Devices → Watch Firmware. Once connected, return to the caller, choose a pitch and location, then tap Send Pitch.

Check that each player’s watch shows the call. Try it from the positions your players will use, and check your league’s rules before game day.

You don’t have to figure it out alone. If a step is unclear, visit support or send us a note. Tell us your watch model and where you got stuck—please don’t include your team passphrase.
